Montessori Work ~ Engage in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, & Board Books. Alphabet letters, Numbers, & Spanish object recognition
worked on daily. Children go into two small groups with each teacher, up to six
children for the infant side & up to six children for the toddler side of the
classroom.
9:30am - 10:00am
Circletime/Job Presentation
~ Sing songs, weather report.
New material presentation, Spanish object
presentation; work on letter recognition, Number recognition, Colors & Shapes
recognition. Children are all together for Infant/Toddler group Presentation.
Check/change diapers, toilet learners use the bathroom.
10:00am - 11:00am
Outdoor Play ~ Clean playground tiles, age appropriate toddler climbing
structure, toddler merry-go-round, toddler ride-on toys, Large grassy area
for sports, and child sized picnic table. If weather is not favorable we will do
coloring, painting, or watercolors indoors.
11:00am - 11:30am
Clean up/Lunch ~ Clean up,
prepare and serve lunch. They eat a provided meal of protein, starch, veggies,
fruit, & milk. When weather is favorable, we will eat outside at the picnic tables.
11:30am - 11:55am
Storytime - Read board books that change monthly. Wind down
for naptime and departure. Check/change diapers, toilet learners use the
bathroom.
11:55am - 12:00pm
Front Porch Pick-up - Morning class children will put on
their shoes, and sit on the benches in the covered porch area. This will allow
the school day children to wind down for their nap inside without the stress of
the front door opening & closing.
